My name is Irina. And I live in Riga, the capital of Latvia. In case you don't know, it's a small former soviet country, situated in eastern Europe. I'm 22 and very excited about life itself. I love trying everything new, throw myself into unknown activities and lead an active life.
Unfortunately, I can't live my life the way I'd love to.I have to work and study simultaneously, so there is not much free time left for myself. I also can't afford expensive training or dieting consults, so I have to keep myself fully in charge of my body. I've always followed my weight, tried various diets and made efforts to exercise regularly.
But it never really helped me to lose weight - just keep it in relative control. Still, every year, after I finished school at 17, I gained 2 kilos a year. It's not dramatic, of course, but if I continue the tendency, I'll be like 100 kilos when I'm in my 30-ies…
This summer (2010) in July I twisted my ankle and badly pulled the ligaments on my left leg, when I jumped from the tree (the very tree on the photos, by the way). I weighed around 70 kilos then. And my hight is 167 cm. I couldn't walk normally, so I sat all days in front of the computer, reading, watching movies, studying and EATING. In a week I gained 2 kilos. So I was 72 already.
This was the maximum I've ever weighed. I was terrified and disgusted by my body and by my will, or, more precise, by the absence of any will at all. I started looking for dieting programs and exercises for separate body parts on the Internet. All the bodybuilders, condescendingly explaining the "tryceps-byceps-abs-bla…" workouts didn't inspire me at all.
And then I stumbled across your video, Adrian! It was the butt workout on the chair video. It was really fun to watch, I loved your encouraging manner. I tried to do it every day on my healthy leg. I also made a special every-day exercise list for myself, including push ups, exercises for thighs, butt, shoulders, back and breasts. I don't have any special equipment at home, so your videos were extremely helpful, as you don't use any special props in them. I only bought I pair of 2 kg dumbbells, which cost me just 16 dollars.
. I actually counted calories. but I wasn't starving. I didn't use any supplements. I started to lose weight really quickly. and at first the exercises were like a torture for me. I pushed myself extremely hard. just your attitude and the way you act in your videos kept me going.
I thought: "This person doesn't even know me. But he bothered to go to the post-office, spent his time and money (it doesn't matter, how much. even if it was 1 cent), to send me something. the most important was not the, it was the fact that a person actually cares about the other person, who is a complete stranger." I was truly moved by this. And I just felt, like I owe you. and if you, Adrian, care about other people like me, it's my obligation to live up to the expectations, you await from your work, which is to make the world healthier.
But after about two weeks, the exercises became easier to execute. and I actually got pleasure from doing them. In one month, in August I already weighed 65. My leg was healing, i didn't need to wear the plaster cast any more, just an elastic bandage. I broadened and hardened my exercise range. The kilos were going away not as fast, as at the beginning. but I didn't give up. Now it's almost September. I weigh 62 kilos. I feel amazing!
I definitely look better naked and clothes also fit me better. (((:Last year I attempted karate, but couldn't endure the training. This Monday I went to the same place again and I could do it, nevertheless my leg still hurts a bit! I could do all the exercises and could catch my breath, doing all those hundreds of kicks! I feel lighter, faster and more agile. I already have 2 upper out of 6 pack.

Yes go ahead and post my pictures if you like, I'm not much to look at, not sexy, not a muscle man or anything else. Just a regluar "Old Fat Man" who decided to change my life style and take some good advice from and see where I could go with it.
I just wanted to make my girl proud of me and be able to go for a walk to somewhere other than the fridge without huffing and puffing and having to stop for a rest every 100 feet while she stood there waiting for me.

We were both overweight from age 10 till 22, and it just clicked one night that, THAT, was about to change, cuz we were tired of being fat.
One night we were sitting and watching, a documentary based off of a book by Rhonda Byrne, and we had an epitome. We decided from that point on to only strive for success and to always think positively.
The video taught us that we needed to have the end result in mind, which to us were our fit healthy bodies. Every time we had a negative thought, we remembered what the end result of all the hard work is, and it made it worth it.
It was important to, and now it has, and is still getting better. The video also taught us that once we were set on a goal, an end result, things that would help steer us in the direction towards success of that goal would start to appear in our lives.
, and were ecstatic because we had NO CLUE about how we were about to do this. We knew we were doing it, just not how- which the secret also explains is never important.
We started cooking healthy together, working out, taking long walks, etc. Every month or so we incorporated something new into our diets, like a new vitamin, or a new veggie we never ate.
to help us shop, we printed it and went to the market. We learned of new foods that we now love like fish and tofu.

Hey Adrian. I rave about you all the time to everyone who asks me about my personal weight loss methods. I have so many good things to say. I was on one day like many searching for ways to workout at home.

I needed something that would be "excuse proof", like "I have a five year old. whose going to watch him while I work out?" Or "I Dont have enough gas to drive to the gym everyday" or "I Dont have any gym clothes"... And so on, I had hundreds.

I did your and lost 6 pounds in less than a WEEK! and I was eating pretty good, but not totally low carb. Lots of cheat days. Lol! I only did it for 20 minutes, about 3 days a week. This last week I decided I wanted to try eating whatever I want and just working out more often. So I do 20 minutes twice a day or 40 minutes once a day 4 days a week and its AMAZING!!

From 220-to-145 in 10 months

I want to say thanks! I have struggled with my weight all my life, and I am 28. I am not stupid and completed my homework before trying intermittent fasting. I started by getting to one meal a day within the first month and by month two I was calorie counting to try to keep that one meal at 1500-1700 calories.

I take a daily multi-vitamin and a extra full spectrum vitamin B. Finally I combined all this with cutting out sodas, beer, candy and other unhealthy foods to maintain a healthy diet. I have been able to maintain all this for over eight months, not counting the two months it took for me to get into the diet.

Basically, I am a 28 year old male 5' 7" in height that started 10 months ago in December weighing 220 pounds. Today, exactly 10 months later I weigh 145 pounds. I have lost 75 pounds!!!

I have had full blood work done and I am now normal on every test and I have been yanked off my blood pressure medicine.

I just wanted to send you praises, never have I seen such a great wealth of information and presented in such organized fashion on a website.

I started to workout awhile back with my aunt who is Cognitively challenged so it was hard for her to keep up due to coordination, but when we saw your YouTube videos for cardio consisting of either jumping jacks or ski steps, she did it with ease.
